Returning to Ohio in T-minus 4 days!

Just got home from work, and it hit me that I shall be returning to the homeland soon. It will be glorious! I hope to take pictures that I can post up here. Im really looking forward to seeing my family and my dogs!(not to mention xmas presents!). Hopefully me, my cousin and uncle can get some LAN action going on. See you all soon family!

This is going to be TF2 related entry, so If you aren't into this game(WHICH YOU SHOULD BE) scamper off.

Today, after much anticipation a new post was delivered onto the TF2 blog. Of course this post regarded the demoman's new unlocks where news was posted of him receiving a new shield and sword. Of course, people had a problem with this, people have always had a problem with every update. But Its gotten to the point where I feel like I need to rant about it.
Upon purchasing TF2, be it by istelf or in the orange box, online or in store. You are guaranteed only a few thing's . That you will get to play the game, for however as long as you like, and whenever you'd like to. Also that you would get technical support If you would ever to fall upon an issue. Basically, you are guaranteed that it will work. Now, people somehow, even when realizing this. Still find a reason to complain. They have problems with the new unlocks, valve has provided for them, they dont like it. They feel cheated. Well, let me ask you something. Does valve have to do this? Are you paying for this update? Is this update unfair? No. No. and No. Valve is one of the greatest companies when talking about DLC, when they make unlocks for you to have they do it for one reason and that is for the fans! You are not paying for this content, there is no expense to be had when downloading this! It is all free, and they test and test and test so it is not only new and refreshing content but balanced and fair when fighting among other classes. Valve is one of the most revered and greatest game developers of all time, working and working just so that you get the most out of their creation. They owe nothing to you, dont complain about a free service because that, well just makes you look like a self righteous bastard. Because the only thing you deserve is the game you paid for, nothing more nothing less.

Well Ive been busy, failing school and what not. So I thought today would be a perfect day to update what has been going on in my life. First off I would just like to say that today was the greatest day in a while. It rained, me and my friend Jon hung out and met a renown Sci-Fi author. We were looking at games and chatting in Fry's before heading to In&Out and a man that looked to be about fifty asked us what game he should get for him and his son to play since he enjoyed this other RTS a lot. He said that he was a Sci-Fi novelist and was interested in such. So after telling him about Starcraft, Dawn of War II and Supreme Commander he revealed to us that he was David Brin the author of "The Postman", a Sci-Fi book that was adapted into a movie featuring Kevin Costner. I MET A FAMOUS PERSON!
I have also obtained a Job at Spencer's Gifts that I have been working at for about two and a half months. Speaking of my job, today's experience was only improved when I come to find I had 200 dollars on my work issued debit card(instead of a paycheck). Yesterday the new TF2 update was announced. An update in which Demomen and Soldiers are pitted against each-other. Whoever gets the most kill against the other by the end of the update gets a fourth item to be obtained by you, the player. At first I was angry about this decision by valve, mostly because every server I was on was mainly Demomen and Soldier played. It is pretty much spam fortress 2 now. It will be for a while too, but eventually the classes will get balanced again about a few weeks after the update. The only thing that remains is the engineer. I am also excited to see another "Meet the *blank*" video. Im hoping for Pyro this time. I am also officially 17 years old as of December Second as of December second. Yay for Rated M games and Rated R movies! Next up, cigarettes, porn, taxes and soon to follow: Alcohol. Also I am going to attempt video blogging again soon. But this time, editing, scripts and a good quality camera. Also, new reviews and best of all, brand new updates!

At first I was excited about it but after watching the trailer I realized they are making it a stupid comedy oriented piece of garbage. They are going to ruin a perfectly good book series..they could have left it to the books, but NO! They just had to go and fuck it up. Hollywood is on my last nerve. I feel that Bungie should go back to their PC roots. Halo 1 and 2 were good, but 3 and beyond is just too much for a franchise.Its a good thing Reach will be Bungies last Halo game because, I really wanted Bungie to release something that Isn't related to Halo, and gets a primary PC release.

Anime series Im a little unsure about, as Ive always been interested in the Halo storyline and think that the Master Chief would be much better portrayed in animation rather than trailers and cut scenes.

Tomorrow, I head on the plane to Alaska for a canoe trip. This will be my second time In Alaska canoeing a large distance, on my way to the final destination I will ride through semi rapids, see bears, see beavers, fish, camp and swim. But Back in the home land (California) something is going on that I will miss the majority of. Comicon the Annual convention held every summer in San Diego. The mother of my best friend(one of my best friends) Travis got us 4 day passes some time ago(6 months to be exact), I have been looking forward to going the entire year. Every day exited to browse the convention center with Sierra,Chloe(Who will be cosplaying Haruhi characters) and Travis. Then some time after I got the tickets my dad asked me If I wanted to go to Alaska again this year, I said okay not knowing the exact dates. Well as it turns out I get back from Alaska late on the 24th missing the opening day and the second day. Now I may be exaggerating but I really did have it planned out the whole year. I would just fantasize me and my friends walking down the halls, getting autographs then heading back to the hotel and having fun time overall. But even though the Alaska trip is bound to be fun, It kind of did intrude into my plans and I wish I would've checked the dates before I agreed. Next year, I will be sure to do that. Then again, not very many people get to choose between going to Alaska, and going to Comicon. Ill be sure to post pictures when I get back, now Im off to look for my "probably gone for good" zune.

War In Iraq

So lately I have learned a few things about the war in Iraq that admittedly, changed my opinion a little.

Although I disagree with the claim that there was "Weapons of Mass Destruction" in Iraq. I think that It was good we took Saddam out of power. There was no connection with Iraq to 9/11, the religious fanatics(Al Qaeda) that went through with 9/11 were under the power of Bin Laden. Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein were not allies, In fact Bin Laden has been quoted many times to saying that Saddam is a "Infidel". The area in Iraq where Al Qaeda is located is not even regulated by the government led by Saddam. But even though, I think it was a good idea to take Saddam out of power, the idea was not executed In a good way what so ever. First of all, the people in the US have gained so much knowledge over the years. Through this discovery of new knowledge we discovered George had lied to us. The weapons of mass destruction claim was false. I dont feel like restating any details about this that Robert Greenwald's "Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq war" can already do. It is punishable by US law to falsify information in order to go to war. Second, the new Governmental system we have put into place there will not last, so this part of the "Liberation" was in vain. Third, we have just been there too long. Too many people have died, those people being innocent civilian as well as our own troops. This war is an OUTSTANDING source of our debt, unlike the wars before(World War 2 being an example) Instead of making us more money, It put us into debt. We don't belong there any more, thankfully Obama will make sure of this. This was not a war on terrorism, this was a continuation of the Persian Gulf war(Which my Father participated in). Mission accomplished. We took down Saddam, what else is there to do? Really. We do not belong there anymore.

I wouldnt call this a war on terrorism, I would call it...Whats the word? Imperialism.

Well E3 has just ended, another year another E3 I didnt get to go to. But sites like Kotaku and Joystiq make me feel like I was there because they provide info the second it is released(sometimes before it is released). Hopefully next year E3 will be open to the public, so I can try out all the latest games before they are released so I know how much it could improve or how much it could get worse. It is a big coincidence that near the end of the biggest gaming expo of the year, school comes to an end as well. But not my school, we still have another week. Well for me its another month because of the whole fact that I have summer school. There is also a possibility of me repeating the grade. Man Highschool does not make any sense..

Oh well, I have Comicon and warped tour to look forward to!

I just watched a video made by Chris Crocker entitled "WE'RE ALREADY READY!". In the video he talked about how we shouldn't have to wait for equality in America. It should already be here. We are already ready for equality. When that happens we will look at it on the same level of disgust as we do with slavery. But there is one problem with this. Religious organizations, were the main thing funding "Yes on prop 8". Religion is holding us back people. We need to promote Atheism more, parents need to realize that we need to evolve and promote Atheism. Because In all honesty religion has done nothing good for our world. It has started more wars and prevented more scientific advances, and If it didn't exist we would have a utopia by now. When this happens we will have a worldwide party!

TF2 Sniper/Spy update

As some of my readers might know, Team Fortress 2 or TF2 for short is probably my favorite multiplayer game of all time. Recently there has been a Sniper update going on, going through there usual "day to Day" method. They reveal news about the upcoming update with unlockables and new maps. Just recently they surprised the TF2 community with a dual update. The Spy was getting an update too confirming the consipiratist members beleifs on the TF2 community forum. I saw this when I was at school and had a total nerd gasm. Also, meet the Spy was leaked onto youtube. Meet the spy is a video in the series called "Meet the team" where with every class update a new video intrducing a certian class is released. I think the meet the spy video was the greatest one so far. Throughout this update a few things have been revealed. The sniper will receive a new bow that pins its opponents to walls, and a shield that will explode upon backstabe making the spy unable to cloak himself or stab. Then on day four the spy update was reveiled also showing two new items. One watch that lets him cloak indefinately aslong as the spy is standing still he cant pick up ammo to prolong the stealth though and a pocket watch that lets him feign death and cloak for five seconds. On the spy update page it is shown as an order slip and at the bottom there are two more blank spaces. It makes me wonder If they will release four new weapons for the spy instead of the usual three? I guess they could upgrade the knife and revolver but who can trust valve after they pull a move like this? So far two(or three) weapons remain to be reveiled for each class.

Lately a lot more thoughts than usual have been floating around my head, and one of these is,the concept of High School. This may come off a little blunt but, I don't get it. I think by the time you have finished middle school, you know all the math you will ever need to know In life. You know as much history as there needs to be known and Science is well, redundant. Since you know everything you would need to function in society by the time you graduate middle school, Highschool should be a "mini" college. Basically where you expand upon your skills in the area in which you are interested in persuing a career, with the option to change the next semester because you want to do something different. You got the basics, why do more meaningless stuff in High School? Then by the time you get to college you really know what you want to do, what it will take and how you will achieve it. Without diving in with that expensive tuition and changing classes in the middle of your college career when you find out this isnt what you want to do anymore.

Today, I was craving some Arizona raspberry tea which is probably one of the best drinks of all time in my opinion. There are three gas stations close to my house but I usually just go to the smaller of the two shell gas stations to get my tea. Well I went there, money out in hand and ready to give to the hispanic employee. But when I looked in the little refridgerator there was nothing there. Just the disgusting arizona flavors I dont like. So I went to vavoline, nothing. Then with a last desperate attempt to get me my fix, I drove on over to the second shell station. This one was bigger than the first so I was almost certain that this one would carry it. But what do you know? NOTHING! Its like somebody had bought out all the Arizona rasperry in an attempt to thwart my venture to quench my thirst. So I looked around the Shell station looking for something else, well I found something that I think is rather interesting. As most of you might know, Arizona only costs 1.00 a can and can hold 23.5 ounces of delicious tea. Well I found some delicious Apple juice(not near as good as my Arizona) and it held 10 ounces at the most. The pricing? 1. 69 with tax I payed almost twice as much for half as much. Retarted. But for now on I think Im just gonna order them off line. I also plan to buy a mini fridge.

Half-Life 2: A few Reasons why it is better than Halo 3

Before the weekend started a friend of mine got into talking about video games and some how we got onto the subject of FPS genre games. Well, through this discussion we got into an argument me trying to knock some sense into his head."Halo 3 better than Half-Life 2". The mere mention of this phrase pisses me off and many dedicated gamers out there probably couldn't agree more. So here I am going to list a few reasons why the Half-Life 2 Series is better than Halo 3.

Awards
Half-Life 2 has won over forty game of the year awards, now this is pretty huge amount especially when you compare it to Halo 3 which only relieved one game of the year award. Now I understand awards don't exactly define a game completely but hey, forty is a pretty big number.

Length
On average Half-Life 2 takes 15-20 hours to beat(not including sequels) the entire halo series put together takes 7 to 9 hours. Yes, this is significant because games these days are lacking game time and a longer length, gives it way more replay value which Halo 3 lacks a lot of.

Ending
Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Halo and Halo 2. I even enjoyed some of the Halo 3 levels. But for somebody like me who enjoys a climactic ending that makes your adrenaline rush, Halo 3 was disappointing. I fought through 3 games, waited years and years for the final installment and what? I fight a floating ball. Thats right. A floating ball. Oh no, lets not bother put the flood leader in there lets use A FUCKING BALL, then the ring blows up. OH shit how original, its not like that ending hasn't been used before in the series -_-. Half-Life 2 Episode 2 has a very climactic ending, both game play and story line wise. Rushing around blowing up striders before they had a chance to shoot at the missle, it really got the heart pumping.

Orange Box, six great games $19.99.
Halo 3(one mediocre game) $39.99.

Replay Value
There are so many different situations to choose from ranging from the intensity and desperation of Ravenholm to the nearly unkillable dominator of the Citadel. It hardly gets old. If you have played it enough to get old, look at the bright side. You would probably have beaten Halo 3 a massive amount of times.

Fan Base
There are a ton of mods still being made today of Half-Life 2. People today still make them, for a six year old game. Unofficial prequels/sequels and multiplayer mods just make the experience more valuable.

Today I was ever so fortunate to come across a new mod being developed by the "Portal Prelude" team. Will we get another awesome fan made saga of the portal series? No, this time around we will be seeing zombies and alot of them. Yes, I am of course talking about Left 4 Dead, the zombie mashing, adrenaline pumping mind blowing zombie game we all know and love will receive a delicious mod made by the "Portal Prelude" team. As some of you casual and hardcore L4D players alike know, the games content has gotten a little tiresome lately, even with the recent update killing the same zombies on the same level over and over again Is really fun but over time it just burns you out. In this new mod entitled "I hate mountains" (a parody of Francis's "I hate.." phrases) we will get five brand new levels! Entitled: Forest, Manor, Underground, Lumber Yard and Lake Side. I cant wait for this mod, although I definitely will have to since Left 4 Dead is a totally new version of source and L4D games are incredibly hard to make. The mod will in no way be revolutionizing (no new guns, no new zombies), just some new content for us fans who need something new after running through no mercy a million times. Although It wouldn't be beyond them to make new characters and even voice them. They currently have three screen caps of their first three levels as it is still in early development, but rest assured, If there is a big update in devlopment and when its released I will talk about it here!

Don't mock my Anime.

These days, the mere mention of Anime can bring up a different conversation depending on what kind of group of people you are in. Flashbacks to the past Is what some people mention. Dragon Ball Z, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Sailor moon, Gundam Wing or even Zoids. These were the Animes most people in america watched at a younger age at or near my generation, and some of them are still favored not only by Anime fans but non Anime fans as well all around the United States not to mention Japan. One of the second most common conversations started at the mention of Anime is one that really ticks me off. Hentai, or as people not familiar with Otaku lingo like to call it "Anime Porn". This annoys me alot, for several reasons. Its just annoying, upon asking some people If they want to join the Anime club I started at school about half of the people would say "Will there be Hentai?" or "Will there be Anime porn!?!?" my response of course Is no. It is really frustrating when people associate Hentai with our beloved Anime. Dont get me wrong there is nothing wrong with Hentai but have you(the reader) ever seen a hentai? Its like somebody took a love story, put tentacles, rape and sex in it then somehow compressed it into a plot less 2 - 8 episodes. Comparing Anime to Hentai is like comparing "The Lord of the Rings" with "The Lord of the Cock Rings". The only reason people watch Hentai is the same reason people watch porn(With the exeption of the people who watch it for the romance). So please stop associating porn with my Anime.

A World without Texas

Ive been hearing recently that Texas wants to secede from the Union and become its own country, The Amazing Athiest just talked about it in his New video and about how much he really wants to get rid of Texas. I also really think an America without Texas is a step closer to a perfect America. Texas is full of people that are Socially Backward (to quote family guy). Some of the most hateful, racist, Christian extremist people live in or lived a majority of their life in Texas. Don't get me wrong, I have some good friends that come from Texas but they probably would like to live anywhere in America than a country ruled by Texans.

"Yes Man" review.

Me, my Mother and my Brother were chilling on the couch watching some tv after just getting done with eating some taco bell for dinner. So after a while searching on the "On Demand" service Time Warner cable has we found a movie all of us had not seen but wanted to. "Yes Man" was the movie we decided on. In "Yes Man" a man named Carl has been saying No to everything his whole life, and soon realizes that it is ruining his life. After running in to one of his old friends, he is directed a seminar that teaches him to say yes to every thing and that it will give him a life full of adventure and satisfaction. At first saying yes to everyhting was a strange idea to him but soon he learns that saying yes to everything isnt the best way to live life. There was little disappointments, the comedy was great. I had a bunch of laughs, Jim Carry is at his best in this movie, still as funny if not funnier than any of his previous movies. Zooey Deschanel is hotter and cuter than ever in this movie, best acting I have ever seen from her. There was a great life lesson in the movie that I will keep with me for a while. There is one scene that I wish they had left out of the movie. Blowjobs and a Grandmaw, ill leave it at that. Go see this movie! Five stars! ★★★★★

Underrated Software

Mozilla Thunderbird:
So as you all know, Mozilla makes possibly the best browser on the market. With its tabbed browsing and its revolutionary accessibility Firefox is one of the best browsers today replacing Internet Explorer on many PC's everywere. But Mozilla has a few other programs that are not near as well known as Firefox. One of them being Mozilla Thunderbird. Mozilla Thunderbird is a out of browser email inbox much like Microsoft's Outlook program that will totally make you rethink what you can really do with your emails. Right now Thunderbird only allows you to use your gmail accounts or your custom created email address (Ex:yourname@yourdomainname.com), you can make use of your hotmail account on there too but it wont allow you to send emails only read them. But the speed and performance as opposed to its browser counterpart, is well worth the switch. Sometimes I forgot it is even running because of how little system resources it takes, until I receive a nifty message in the bottom right of my screen:

Many people I know use Aim,Yahoo Messenger and MSN messenger. As some people might know this can be irritating with all those programs running my system would go really slow, a bunch of different chat windows up trying to manage all those chat windows at the same time ontop of my firefox browser. Well my friend told me about a program called pidgin, where you can manage ALL of your different instant messaging accounts in one program even Irc and Icq. All of your friends from each client will be on one buddy list as shown and all of your chats will be in one window as shown. Hello, First of all yes I did make it to Ohio the flights were not too bad either except the first flight(four hours long), I got this pressure in the back of my eye which hurt like a bitch for about thirty minuets. After pushing down on the top of my eyeball for a while I heard a little squeak which was the air escaping from out the back of my eyeball that got rid of the pain completely. Today I was sitting around at my mothers house playing games and then at about 4:00pm by brother got home, we decided to get hothead burritos which I had only had once before but it was delicious. I got steak(spicy), lettuce, sour cream, japalenos, cheese and pinto beans on mine. It was gooooooooooood. At about 8:30pm my uncle picked me up from my house. Along with his friend Zach, we went to walgreens and got some ramba(Bottom Picture) and bugle chips. I don't know if you guys know what ramba is but Its a citrusy drink with pineapple juice that is suposed to be an energy drink. It tastes pretty good. The bugle chips however were not that good to me. After that we dropped Zach off and me and Bob headed for his house in which contains his sweet basement(Top picture). We spent the last three hours re arranging it, right now I am really feeling the feng shui. It is almost 4:30 here and bob has school tomorrow at 11:30am, he keeps saying he should go to bed but keeps playin maplestory. Haha.

Fuck you delta Airlines

You probably saw my last blog post about my Air port mishap. In that mishap somehow along the ticket purchasing process they put my mom's name on the ticket instead of mine thus making the ticket unusable by me. Well I just got a call from my mother saying that she has been on the phone with delta airlines for two hours and they informed her that there is no way she can change it to my name. They basically want her to buy a new ticket. If you know about the price of airplane tickets, they are cheaper the earlier you buy them. If you were to buy a plane ticket the day before the flight, it could cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars to purchase. My mother just bought a car so money is a little tight right now and I have been looking forward to Spring break for a very long time as it is the only time I get to see my family. So delta can't fix an error they caused, and are gonna make somebody who has already spent three hundred dollars spend more money just because of something as simple as an incorrect name. Fuck you delta, because of YOUR mistake I cant see my mother. Because of YOUR mistake I cant see my family. You are a big fucked up corporate machine who does no give a shit about its customers. I hope the company fails and the ceo dies in a pit of corroding acid.

As many of my close friends and family know, I go to Ohio for most of my school breaks to visit my mom and other family. Well today was d-day, another day where I take the early trip down to the air port with my dad who is driving me. Well the flight was at 6:35am and we got the about an hour and ten minuets early. Waiting in line I noticed a sign that said "In order to be sure your luggage makes it with you your bags must be checked thirty minutes before the flight" I remember this from before but I had never had a problem with it. So we waited and the line seemed to be moving pretty fast, but my dad spotted a shorter line which seemed better at first but it turned out that it was moving significantly slower. By the time we got to the front It was 6:00. Enough time right? Well it would have been except for the fact my Mom put her name on the ticket instead of mine. Even though she is my mother but they still wouldn't let me. Its kind of like walking up to the booth and saying "This person isnt me but can I have the ticket anyway?". So naturally I was pretty pissed, to be honest I had one of those types of fantasies from scrubs where he imagines something but then flashes right back to reality where I through those luggage carts out the glass window and then picked up a sign and started swinging it at people. Good thing im leaving tomorrow.

My first blog post. Lets wish the rest are filled with win.

For some time now there has been something that has been bothering me. Relating to the unfortunate passing of proposition 8, I am worried about the future of this country. Where is the equality? Was the "All men are created equal" entry in the constitution something we would put in there and never touch? No, the Civil rights movement pulled the constitution back out of our asses and showed us our wrongdoings. Showed us that skin color should not show any difference in respect towards our fellow man. But once again has the constitution been wedged in our ass crack. I am of course talking about homosexual marriage. The mere mention of homosexual marriage in any atmosphere can spark much controversy as to weather or not it is right. But the question right now is not what we think is right, it is what is owed. "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal...." .

Well, we all seem to fit the definition, but wait what is that last word down there? Oh yes. Ability. A man and a women have the ability to get married in reap the legal benefits that are given to them from the marriage. But two men, or two women cannot just because they are of the same sex. Just because both of them have a penis or vagina. So how is that equal? In what way,shape or form is this justified?
Even from a religious standpoint It is unethical. How?
Christians believe in god.
American Christians also believe America is blessed by god.
The constitution is the foundation of America.
The constitution states all men are created equel.
Which means that(by the belief of Christians) god blesses America, which means gay marriage(by the all men created equal) is blessed by God.

I know it sounds a little far feched but it is a start right?
